1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using our Site or engaging our Services, you ("Client," "User") agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
2. Services Provided
Link2Info provides background screening and verification services, including but not limited to:
- Employment and Academic Education Verification
- Criminal Record, Civil Litigation, and NBI Clearance Checks
- Field and On-site Address Verification
- Financial Credit Checks
- Global Watchlist and Database Searches (e.g., World-Check)
- Social Media and Character Reference Verification
3. Client Representations & Permissible Purpose
When submitting a Job Order or requesting background screening services, the Client represents and warrants that:
- Lawful Purpose: Requests are made exclusively for legitimate pre-employment, recruitment, or due diligence.
- Prior Consent: The Client has obtained explicit, voluntary, and documented written consent from the candidate/data subject before initiating any screening, in compliance with Republic Act No. 10173 (Data Privacy Act of 2012).
- Data Accuracy: All details provided to Link2Info regarding candidates or subjects are accurate and complete.
4. Turnaround Times & Limitations
Link2Info strives to deliver reports within agreed Turnaround Times (TAT). However, turnarounds depend on third-party entities (e.g., educational institutions, government agencies, courts, prior employers). Link2Info shall not be held liable for delays resulting from uncooperative third parties.
5. Limitation of Liability
- Third-Party Records: Link2Info acts as an information aggregator relying on official records, public registries, and third-party references. We do not guarantee the absolute perfection or timeliness of public government records.
- Adverse Decisions: Background reports provided by Link2Info are strictly informational. Final hiring, promotion, or contractual decisions rest entirely with the Client.

Link 2 Info-Outsourcing Services ("Link2Info") is committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring compliance with Republic Act No. 10173, otherwise known as the “Data Privacy Act of 2012 (DPA)”, its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR), and issuances of the National Privacy Commission (NPC).
Link2Info is a registered Data Processing System (DPS) / Data Protection Officer (DPO) in the Philippines.

This policy outlines how Link2Info collects, processes, stores, protects, and disposes of Personal Information (PI) and Sensitive Personal Information (SPI) gathered through our website and during background investigation operations.

- Client Representatives: Name, business email, phone number, company name, position, and billing details.
- Background Investigation Candidates (Data Subjects): Full name, address, contact details, date of birth, government identification numbers, employment history, academic credentials, character references, and—where permitted by law and consented to—criminal records or credit histories.
- Website Visitors: IP address, browser type, device information, and browsing activity collected via cookies.
3. Purpose & Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal data based on explicit consent, contract performance, or legitimate business interest:
- Performing requested pre-employment background screening on behalf of corporate clients.
- Verifying credentials provided by candidates.
- Responding to user inquiries and job orders.
- Complying with legal and regulatory obligations under Philippine law.
4. Data Protection & Security Measures
Link2Info enforces strict technical, organizational, and physical security measures:
- Access Control: Restricted access granted only to assigned Top Management, Operations Manager, Account Supervisors, and authorized field personnel.
- Encryption: Encryption of candidate files in transit and at rest.
- Confidentiality: All personnel and field investigators are bound by strict Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs).
- Secure Disposal: Physical and digital records are safely destroyed/purged upon expiration of the mandatory retention period.
5. Third-Party Sharing & Transfers
Link2Info does not sell, rent, or trade personal data. Data may only be shared with:
- Authorized verification sources, e.g., academic institutions, former employers, verification registries.
- Corporate clients who initiated the background screening request upon verifying candidate consent.
- Law enforcement or regulatory bodies when required by court orders or statutory mandates.
6. Rights of Data Subjects
Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, individuals have the following rights regarding their personal data:
- Right to be informed: whether personal data is being processed.
- Right to Access: their personal data held by Link2Info.
- Right to Rectify: correct errors in personal data, inaccurate or incomplete records.
- Right to Erasure or Blocking: under lawful grounds.
- Right to Object: withhold consent to processing.
- Right to Data Portability.
- Right to file a complaint with the NPC if privacy rights have been violated or improperly disposed of.
- Right to Damages: You have the right to be indemnified for any damages sustained due to inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, false, or unlawfully obtained personal data.
